Sleepover and Rock Band
Most Moms would find a house full of kids playing Rock Band very annoying. I am not the normal mom though. I am happy that I am able to get some writing done without kids interrupting because they are bored. I am a little upset that they have not asked me to sing yet though.
We are definitely a Wii family. I have always loved playing video games so having kids just gives me an excuse to play video games more often. It is family bonding after all!
I think Rock Band is probably our favorite game to play all together as a family. Even James loves it. He is a guitar hog though. When he plays he will only play the guitar. This really messes up our normal rotation. We allow it though since he pays all the bills and is rarely here. :)

we don't have rock band but my girls just love guitar hero. I think I'd like rock band more because I prefer to sing. I am not much for the instruments.
That sounds like fun. I would probably asked not to sing.
Yeah, Rockband and Guitar Hero are great games even for the family. i remember playing these games with my dad before he succumbed to cancer.
Hey there. We have our Rock Band/Guitar Hero nights. I love the hear the girls sing and it's sparking interest in the kids to listen to music of all genres. And as you said, it's great family bonding time too.
I've never seen this game, but have heard alot about it from my young niece and others. But, I thought it was geared towards grade school children; so am surprised to hear you say the family plays it. I'm not a game player so doubt I would like it; nor do I like rock n roll music...or at least not the stuff thats out now. Good thing my daughter is grown and gone I guess.
I'm confused though, somewhere I thought I read how people were losing weight playing wii? How can one lose weight pretending to play a guitar? As my niece described it to me, it sounded like karaoke?

The Wii has a lot of other games that are a lot of exercise. I have found myself many times having to tell the kids that I am too tired to continue playing.
My nephews have Rock Band and we all love it. I'm a mic hog, the only thing I will ever do is sing. I feel too nervous playing an instrument!
