Another Long Update

Ok I will try to sum it all up quickly with only a few long stories.

Friday... I had to work the early out shift since I am on my last few days so I made only $30. OMG, I forgot how horrible other people have it at work. I am used to making almost 10 times that. Oh well, I will probably not keep making as much at the new job because he rotates stations.

Jaime, a girl I work with that I will miss soooo much, and I were bored so we played around being gross and making fun of people. Then we got done and drank since I am moving.

Saturday... I did not feel the best after drinking the night before so I didn't get much packing done. Then I went to work got done early and drank some more with friends that came in to say goodbye to me.

People kept asking if I was going to have a going away party and I always said no. It turned out very well. I didn't want it to get as crazy as my bday party (took 2 days for everyone to recover). This way it was just a few of my closest friends on Friday and Saturday. I didn't want to get weighed down by customers that I really won't miss anyway.

A guy that plays jazz and has begged me to sing in a group with him and has begged me to marry him for 4 years came in at the end of the night. He had been avoiding me for 2 weeks and I really felt bad and thought I wasn't going to get to see him before I moved. He had become a great friend. So when he showed up at the end and asked me to bring my going away party over to his house I had to even though I promised myself that I was going home early to pack.

Well, I guess I had too much fun because I tripped and fell over. I caught myself with one hand on the floor and broke my hand right before having to pack and move. :(

Sunday... I woke up in horrible pain, picked up the kids from my mom's house, and went home to eat lunch and try to pack. My hand was twice the size it should be. It looked like when you blow up a rubber glove. Same roundness and everything. I could still move my fingers some and I didn't really see bruising so I said forget it I won't go to a Dr. After not getting much done and it turning 6pm James called and told us to just drive to the new house.

Monday... woke up and was told since my hand is broken and wy too swollen to move James' employee was going to help with the move and I was going to babysit his kids. I felt horrible because I left so much that I couldn't pack with one hand. James was not too happy with me of course.

At 6pm they finally got here and we unpacked the truck in the dark. The truck ended up not big enough for some stuff so I have to go back some day before the end of the month and get more stuff.

Tuesday and Wednesday... signed the kids up for school and I went through way too much stuff trying to unpack. My hand isn't as swollen now and my fingers move a little more but now that the swelling is down I see that the top of my hand is yellowing and the bottom is dark. I guess the swelling hid the bruising. Oh well it is getting better so no need to go to the Dr.

Thursday... got the kids off for school and went into the new job here to sign paperwork. I was shocked to find he scheduled me in the best station on a Friday night for my first shift. He said everyone rotates stations so it will always change, but he gave me a full 5 day week right away because of my experiance with the company.

So he said people might not like me right at the start because they don't all get 5 days. I on the other hand am excited because I thought he would still not like me and it is looking good. Almost all my knuckles are back, I have more movement in my fingers, and my hand doesn't hurt so much so I am more confident about being able to work.

Oh yeah, and no I don't ever go to dr.s and as much as everyone yells at me it all ends up ok...eventually.

Caught

Wednesday... Noelle and I got all the furniture shampooed and ready to go. We did a full day of cleaning and packing. Have I mentioned I hate moving. We ate odds and ends trying to use up any perishable foods. Finally got to bed after reading for a bit.

Thursday... Noelle wanted to stay home from school, and since I needed all the help I could get I decided to let her as long as she promised to help all day. James has been staying at the new house so he doesn't have to drive so far for work everyday. That means I have been trying to do this all alone.

Well, Noelle and I decided to go back to bed for a short time after the younger 2 went to school. This sounded like a great idea since I still feel sick because I have been so busy and have gotten little sleep. Noelle wakes me up at 10am and we decided to have some tea. She then reads more of her school library book that she wants to have done before her last day tomorrow.

At 11am we decided to start making lunch and text James to find out when he will be back to town since I work tonight. He calls back right away and says he will be here as soon as he can get through traffic in town.

OMG!!!! We are caught! We hurry through lunch and try to look like we have been cleaning when he gets home. We make an excuse for why Noelle is not at school and he rolls his eyes and goes to the kitchen.

Well, now he is eatting lunch and laying infront of the TV in his (this is my relaxing time off) mode so we are off to clean and pack before I have to start getting ready for work. Noelle is already going through my closet and noticing how many of my shoes she fits and wants... so I better get going.

Countdown...
4 days till the move
1 day of school
3 days of work

Time Flies

I can't believe it has been a week since I got on here last. I will try to catch up as fast as a way too talkative person can.

Wednesday...I went to work at night. I love Wednesdays, I made great money. We decided that since there is no school this week and I don't work Thursday we will drive 2 car loads to the new house, unpack, and stay over night. James was going to leave at 5am like usual for work and I would go later with the kids and dogs after I slept some.

Thursday...When I got home (3am) I decided I should do the drive before I fell asleep since I am more tired when I finally get any rest. I started packing up the kids stuff in the Jeep and James woke up. When he realised he couldn't get back to sleep (I never shut up); We decided to just do the drive then.

After waking up kids, packing in dogs, and driving there; it was 6am when we got to the new house. I was ready for James to go to work so I could finally sleep when I find out he is only going to go in once in awhile to check on them. I love how I am always told to just go to bed while kids play outside my window and James is using a drill.

Finally, James has to go for a work meeting after closing (6pm). I get the kids to take their showers, turn on movies for them, and put chicken in the oven. The house is quiet and after 31 hours without sleep I set my alarm for a one hour nap. Wake up, check the chicken...piece of crap oven in the new house burnt the chicken.

Neona is already sleeping so I cut the dry ends off the chicken (dogs are happy) and feed the other 2 kids. I turned another movie on and went to sleep.

Friday...I meant to drive back right away in the morning, but I am still sick and the bed is too comfortable after not seeing it in so long. Finally pulled away from the house at 11am, started to drive and remembered I wanted to drive past the kids new school so they could see it. Got back on the road to find out the border patrol was stopping all the cars on the highway.

After driving a half an hour decide to stop at A&W for snacks on the ride. Finally get the "hour and a half drive" done at 2pm. I am finding that I am not good at road trips. Wash my work clothes, take a shower, and get back in the car to drop kids off at my mom's for the night. Work from 5pm till 3am.

Saturday...Wake up at 9am to pick kids up at parents by the 10am promised latest time. Find out my mom is following us back to use my computer to get plane tickets (she won't get internet). She stays until 1pm insisting there has to be cheaper plane tickets even though she wants to fly the week of Thanksgiving. I wash work clothes and lay down for a nap at 2pm. Wake up at 3pm to get ready for work and work from 5pm till 3am.

Sunday... James doesn't work Sundays usually and likes to watch football and Nascar. I still being sick; sleep off and on most the day trying to catch up on missed days. I wake up with just enough time to get in a stupid stress and sickness fuelled fight with James before I have to get ready for work. I start at 5pm and work until 3am like usual and it is karaoke night.

Monday...Wake up at 6am get the kids up for school and out the door at 7am. Still feel like crap and fall back to sleep at 8am. Wake up at 3pm when the younger 2 get home. I got 7 hrs of sleep but I just wasted a day off that I was supposed to pack and clean. I go to pick Noelle up from orchestra, help kids with homework, cook dinner, watch a movie and fall asleep. Wake up at midnight like usual on my days off because I'm not used to sleeping then. Watched TV and check long ignored email while trying to fall back to sleep. I think I fell sleep around 4am .

Tuesday...Wake up at 6am get the kids up for school and out the door at 7am. Watch morning news, still sick and tired, fall back to sleep at 8am. Wake up at 1pm, watch Days of Our Lives ( I watch about twice a month. It makes it more fun. Then I can say "wow, what the heck happened".) I get a phone call from work and get told the manager at the sports bar in our chain in the town I am moving to with the same owner wants me to transfer with the company. He wants me to start very soon after I move.

One more problem down. I have a job !!! I still worry because it is a new place but I always worry. After I get off the phone I do an hour of laundry and dishes and then the kids are home. I help with homework and then we shampoo the area rugs so they are ready to be moved. We do more laundry and then dinner time. Crap, another day ended and not much more accomplished.

The kids fall asleep, I sit down with a short book to try to get tired and find myself finished with it at midnight. Check my Myspace account and Nicole wakes up complaining she is thirsty but we are out of water bottles. (water bottles are the only ingestable allowed into bedrooms) I get her a travel coffee mug and fill it with ice water. Grab a beer and start catching up on my blog hoping to get tired. It is now about 2am and my beer is finish and I guess I will grab another beer and head back to the TV and try to get tired.

Starting to think I should get ear plugs for the kids so I can do things while they sleep. LOL

The move has been postponed until Monday because James had to suspend his assistant and wont be able to come back here Sunday so I have also had to leave work a day early.

Count Down...
6 days till the move
3 days of school
3 days of work

Pass the NyQuil

I have been very busy so here is the catch up of it all.

Friday...went to work, gave my notice, and trainned what could end up being my replacement.
Saturday...started getting congested, James called to wake me at 9am after getting 5 hours of sleep to tell me to go to the bank, and then I worked at night.

Sunday...was awakened at 9am after yet again only 5 hours of sleep to drop James off at Uhaul to pick up a truck, got home and got another call to bring James his drill because he broke the key in the lock of the storage unit. Then I tried to take a nap. It only took them maybe 2 hours to fill the truck and pick up lunch to come home. Then they packed more at the house.

There goes sleep. I must pause now and say that my whiney butt is forgetting to mention that all the loading start to finish was done while I laid down on the couch complaining about being tired and sick. I can't believe James didn't yell at me to get up and help. Maybe he is getting soft or more likely yet he is getting sick of my idea of moving (getting in the way, whining, and not being able to do a thing).

So I went to work still lacking sleep yet again and bought some energy drinks to get through the night.

Monday...woke up at 8am to hear everyone else packing more. Felt guilty that once again I wasn't made help; even though I got little sleep and feel even sicker. So I woke up and took some medicine and ate breakfast while they finished.

Off we went; James drove the Uhaul and I drove my Jeep. The whole drive I was worrying more about how the house would look. We got there at noon and honestly at first I hated it. It had to have been because I wanted to hate it because after a short time I really liked it.

It has a few things I don't like but as a whole I can't wait. Half of our move in was in rain sprinkles, but the girls did get to meet some neighborhood kids so they got more excited too. We dropped off the Uhaul and decided to skip the unpacking we had planned on and just drive back and go to bed.

Tuesday...James was off to work at 5am and I always wake up when he leaves (darn man needs every light in the house on and leaves them on when he leaves) . I upon waking realise that I feel like crap and James says I should stay home from work and drink NyQuil all day.

I think this sounds like heaven and tell him he should save gas money and just stay at the new house since we moved some beds into it already. He doesn't want to wait till the 22nd to do the final move with the rest of the stuff so I tell him we will try to figure out how to have him not have to drive back here that much more since now we are just staying here so I can finish out my 2 weeks notice and make some money while I have a job.

Plus the fact that I have to work the day of the final move so I will not have to help yet again. The kids have off of school all week so I spent my waking hours telling them what to clean or get ready next. All I did was dishes and feed them meals. If I wasn't sick this would have been a mini vacation.

Countdown...
12 days till the move
5 days of school
8 days of work (unless they schedule me Tuesday again)
4 days James has to drive back and forth (unless they schedule me Tuesday again)

Hold Please

Well this Friday morning started with a small rain storm. I have been so busy I forgot it was Friday (which means I have to drive the kids to school because Abby has to bring her cello for orchestra). James had my Grand Cherokee so I had to drive his monster Land Rover (which has a broken keyhole in the drivers door, which is the only door that a key is even accepted in, really makes no sense to me, but we refuse to pay $500 for a new keyhole. Stupid Land Rover!)

So I, not knowing it is Friday till now, look like crap. I have to open the back gate that opens to the side like a door and we stand in the rain as Autumn climbs over the seats to unlock the doors from the driver's door inside. Then we are off to school.

I spent the rest of the day calling utility companies for the new house and sitting on hold listening to annoying music. Why is it that the instructions for what number to hit are so quiet and the music so annoying loud? ...So I sit on hold all day.

Well, now I'm off for a shower and to get ready for work and pick Abby up from orchestra.
I'm thinking tonight will be an energy drink night.

Found a House in Sierra Vista

Well, we have been having a hell of a time finding anyone that will allow us to rent a house in Sierra Vista with my 1 dog and 1 cat and his 1 dog and 2 cats. I was getting very concerned after a month of getting turned down and James spending 3 hours and $40 a day driving.

We move so much because of his work that renting a house really is the only choice. Well now he is putting money down for the house on Friday so I can switch my worrying over to the fact that a picture from his cell phone is all I have seen of the house (lol).

I know it is in a subdivision that has a community pool and it is close to the school. So that part sounds ok, but I do have to worry, that's what I do. I also have to worry about the fact that I have to look for a job again after 4 years of being at the same place and getting away with just about anything I do. Trust me with my attitude I tend to yell at customers, but I make them enough money that they put up with me and give me the best hours.

I am going to have to be nice again, and start at the bottom all over again. Who knows what kind of job I will get either. James wants me to start going down there and get a job before we move. At 32 years old I have only had to look for a job 5 times in my life. I am really not looking forward to this.

Moving to Sierra Vista

I have been very bad at giving people updates so maybe I will be better at it on a blog. :p
For those that are reading this and are family and friends the girls will be referred to by their middle names.

Well, I guess I'm going to do a few entries to get some stuff out of the way. We have been living in Oro Valley on the north side of Tucson for around 5 years (I can not believe that it has been 5 years already scary).

Neona is 7 and in 1st grade, Nicole is almost 8 and in 2nd grade, and Noelle is almost 11 and in 5th grade (wow, I'm getting old!!!).

I am still working at a sports bar but I have been thinking about a change since the girls are all in school full time now. I am no longer stuck only work nights. Who knows maybe I'll get a "grown up" job or go to school.

We have been "thinking" about moving for a year and a half. James just got promoted and is getting transfered to a smaller city an hour and a half south of us (as if we weren't close enough to the Mexico border already). So that made the decision for us. We will be moving again.

So we are all dropping everything and moving to Sierra Vista. All I know is that there is the Army base Fort Huachuca which is the home to the US Army Intelligence Center and School. I'm told it is a very small and boring town, but that is from people here living in a big city so who knows.
