The New Rainbow Brite
I recently got to check out the new Rainbow Brite. I was sent a stack of computer disks to review and hand out to other moms with little girls. Rainbow Brite has been around for 25 years now so they have unveiled a more grown up version. The old Rainbow Brite was a little chubby girl. The new Rainbow Brite is older, taller, thinner, and has makeup. I guess everyone has to grow up eventually!
The cd I received had some information about Rainbow Brite, video clips, coloring activities, and games. My younger two girls had a lot of fun with the games. They loved the matching game and the puzzles. The levels progressively got harder so it was really a fun challenge.
After we had our fun with the cd we got to hand some out to other little girls. Each time we handed one out the moms seemed almost as excited as the little girls. It is always nice when you can share something you loved as a kid with your own kids. The cd really brought back some memories!

I remember Rainbow Brite, my daughter used to love her. Somehow, I think I like the old version of her better though, to me the new version looks too grown up. But gotta change with the times I guess :)
Rainbow Brite was one of my sisters favorites. It is too bad we can not leave things the way they were. I guess it is better this way.
I do agree that it would be nice to keep her more sweet and innocent looking but I guess sweet and innocent does not sell well these days.
